Custom Water Purification Process
Custom Water uses a state-of-the-art purification system for our custom-labeled bottled water. Read on to learn more about our process for producing clean, great-tasting purified water.
We begin our purification process with the municipal water supply the same safe, drinkable water that flows into your home. From there, we take it to a higher standard, running it through our specialized purification systems to ensure you receive nothing but clean, crisp, great-tasting water.

Every drop of our purified water passes through multiple advanced filtration systems to ensure that only the cleanest, purest water reaches your lips.
Sediment Filter
Early in the process, we filter out larger particles such as sand, dirt, and sediment. This prevents damage to our filtration system and improves the efficiency and speed of the entire purification process.
Ion Exchange with Twin Alternating Water Softenerswater.
Our twin softeners remove heavy metals from the water, including lead, mercury, iron, and cadmium.
Activated Carbon Filtration
Commonly known as charcoal filtration, this stage removes chlorine, pesticides, and herbicides from the water.
Micro Filtration
We use a dual filtration system with 10-micron and 5-micron filters, which trap and remove even the smallest remaining particles.
Ultraviolet Disinfection
Ultraviolet light sterilizes bacteria, viruses, and other microbiological contaminants. If any are detected, they are neutralized and safely flushed away.
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Pressure forces the water across a semi-permeable selective membrane, allowing only pure water to pass through. Any remaining impurities are trapped on the other side, concentrated, and then flushed away.
Ozone Injection
Ozone is added to the water to remove oxygen and provide a final level of disinfection for both the water and all equipment it touches. This process is completely chemical-free. Ozone is created by splitting O₂ (molecular oxygen) with high-voltage electricity and recombining it into O₃. It’s used because it is far more effective than chlorine about 1,500 times stronger for sanitizing. It’s also tasteless, colorless, and naturally reverts back to regular oxygen (O₂) within about 24 minutes.
Storage and Re-circulation
The purified water continuously circulates through a recirculation loop while waiting to be bottled. Even though we keep two tanks filled and ready for bottling at all times, we prefer to keep the water moving to maintain freshness and purity.
